Sapphic Circle is a space for lesbians to gather and discuss lesbian books, films and other creative works. Our aim is to get lesbians together to: • Explore and draw inspiration from lesbian words, ideas, imagination, analysis and creativity • Build community • Explore our personal and political lives and experiences. Sapphic Circle meets online the third Thursday of every month.

Women-only space is said to be a regenerative experience where women can feel free to let our guard down away from the threat of male violence and male domination.

"Fed up with harassment and housing discrimination, lesbians in 1990s Kansas City dreamed of a place where they could 'walk hand in hand, freely down the streets'. So they created Womontown" (Bailey, 2022).
